New to the Kings Community and wondering how things work around here? Check out this guide to a normal week in the life of Kings Langley SFC.
Recovery from the weekend. Coaches have often started planning their sessions for the upcoming week.
A special email newsletter for all of our coaches and managers (called the "Coach and Manager email", funnily enough) is sent out either Monday or Tuesday, depending on the amount of information that needs to be included that week. The Coach and Manager email will also let the relevant Managers know if they will be required to setup or pack down the fields this week.
Training starts. Depending on your team, you might train Tuesday, Thursday or both Tuesday and Thursday. Training is expected to take place every week between now and the end of the season in August. This includes all school holidays, and may also include public holidays (always assume training is on unless advised otherwise by your team's coach or manager).
The draw for the upcoming weekend's games is published on Facebook on Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings (depending on the availability of the draw on Dribl).
Keep an eye out for the Coach and Manager email if it wasn't sent out Monday night.
Players and parents need to let the team Coach and Manager know before Wednesday afternoon if they know or suspect they will be unavailable for the weekend game. Managers need to let the Secretary know by Wednesday afternoon if they need any upgrades or if they will need to forfeit the upcoming game. This deadline is crucial as the club pays a fine for all forfeits regardless of age group, and the fine goes up significantly after the Wednesday deadline.
The club's community newsletter including match reports will usually hit inboxes on Wednesdays, and all match reports are also published on the website at go.klsfc.club/newsletters
Our second night of training for the club, and either the first or second night of training for your team.
Our Men's Over 35 team play their games on Friday evenings. Why not come down to a home game and cheer the old blokes on?
This is a good time to duck into the team group chat to find out:
